bluestone walkway

i've been working with a truly wonderful client in naperville on a front yard installation.  the design included a new front walkway and stoop and all new plantings.  a concrete walk was changed out for a wider and more inviting thermal bluestone walkway.  the stoop itself was veneered with bluestone as well for an elegant, finished look.  plantings were removed providing a much better view of the beautiful façade of their home, and they were replaced with new colors, new interest, and new textures.  unfortunately, there were various delays in getting started which sometimes happens.  we waited on stone to arrive, waited for JULIE to do their utility markings, postponed due to rain, etc. but the homeowner was nothing but patient and full of grace.  it's a reminder that if we face day-to-day life with a little understanding, a little humanity, and a positive outlook, that most of the time things work out in the end.  i hope this beautiful family will enjoy their new front yard for many many years to come.
